Training Reimbursement for Members
All Members, upon submitting a receipt and a certificate of completion, are entitled to receive 100% reimbursement for approved training/certification up to a maximum of $500 per year.
Should a Member wish to take a course that does not appear on the list of pre-approved courses, or to exceed their $500 annual allotment, they may appeal, in writing, to the Executive Board to do so. All such requests will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
Receipts for training must be dated after your initiation date to Local 849 and should be submitted within 6 months of completion, but will not be accepted outside of the calendar year the course was taken. Reimbursements will be mailed in the form of a cheque and take 3-6 weeks to process.
